Nitrile Rubber or Acrylonitrile Butadiene is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. Nitrile Rubber Sheets have good general resistance to oil along with good mechanical properties especially tensile strength, flexing, compression set, and impermeability to gases. Nitrile Rubber Sheet has moderate aging properties and good adhesion to metal. Its recommended operating temperature range is -30 deg. C to 120 deg. C, 110 deg. F. Nitrile Rubber Sheet also displays good resistance to inorganic chemical products except antioxidant agents and chlorine. It gives satisfactory resistance to general hydrocarbons. Due to its polar nature, we do not recommend its use with polar liquids like ketones, ethers and amines.
Applications
These sheets find application in areas where service temperature is as high as 1100 F. They have excellent resistance to petroleum products and typically find use in applications like diaphragms, floating roof tanks, oil resistant seals, and gaskets.
